Igor CASSINA Dottore in Scienze Motorie e dello Sport..
Igor Cassina, medaglia d’oro olimpica nella sbarra ai Giochi di Atene 2004, si è laureato in Scienze Motorie e dello Sport alla Facoltà di Scienze della Formazione dell’Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano lunedì 29 marzo 2010. Il titolo della tesi, che “Bilo” ha discusso con il Chiar.mo prof. Francesco Casolo e con il Chiar.mo prof. Anna Ajani, era: “L’esperienza sportiva come occasione di crescita per la persona”.

Azerbaijani gymnasts-winners of World Cup in Greece
March 29, 2010 (Trend): Gymnast Aliya Garayeva won the silver medal of the World Cup competitions held in Greek Kalamata. On the final day of competitions Azerbaijani gymnast performed in individual finals, in one of them - with the ribbon and took the second place, Azerbaijani Gymnastics Federation toldTrend News. After getting 27.25 points, she lost only 0.3 points to Russian gymnast Daria Kondakova.
Rodez devient le centre du monde
Le 28 mars 2010 (La dépêche): Après avoir accueilli en 2005 une étape de la coupe du monde et en 2007 la finale de la coupe du monde de gymnastique aérobic, le Gym club ruthénois organisera les onzièmes championnats du monde de gymnastique aérobic, du 15 au 20 juin, à l'Amphithéâtre et au dojo. La gymnastique aérobic consiste à effectuer en musique des « mouvements rapides, techniques, souples et puissants ».
Canadian rhythmic gymnasts eighth in team event at Thiais International
March 28, 2010 (The Canadian Press): Canada finished eighth in the all-around team final as the Thiais International rhythmic gymnastics competition drew to a close Sunday.
The event combined one performance with all five gymnasts using hoops and another performance with three gymnasts using ribbon and two on rope.
Athletes jump, flip, twist in international competition
March 27, 2010 (The Daytona News Journal): Athletes from across the hemisphere descended on Daytona Beach this weekend to compete in the the 2010 Trampoline & Tumbling Pan American Championships at the Ocean Center.More than 260 gymnasts from six North and South American countries competed in the senior, junior and age group categories in contention for this year's continental titles.
Alexandra Raisman, Anastasia Grishina take the titles at Trofeo di Jesolo
March 27, 2010 (Examiner): Less than a month after finishing an impressive second at the American Cup, Alexandra Raisman has won her first senior international title.
Raisman was the class of the field on the first day of the Trofeo Citta di Jesolo tournament, held Saturday in Jesolo, Italy, just north of Venice.
La tension monte à 80 jours du mondial
Le 25 mars 2010 (Midi libre): Le président de la fédération française de gymnastique, Jacques Rey, était hier à Rodez afin de peaufiner l'organisation des championnats du monde et de France qui auront lieu sur le piton du 11 au 20 juin.
Hier, la tension est encore montée d'un cran au Gym club ruthénois ! A moins de 80 jours du début des championnats du monde et de France organisés à Rodez, le président de la fédération française, Jacques Rey, est venu (re) visiter les lieux. L'occasion aussi de préciser les choses.

March 28, 2010 (Inside the Games): Trinidad and Tobago will not to bid for the 2018 Commonwealth Games, meaning it looks like Abuja and the Gold Coast will be the only candidates to have declared when the deadline for applications closes on Wednesday (March 31).

Le 24 mars 2010 (AFP) : Le président du Comité international olympique (CIO), Jacques Rogge, a déclaré mercredi qu'il serait intraitable sur les questions de dopage et envers les candidats trichant sur leur âge, à l'occasion des premiers jeux Olympiques de la jeunesse (JOJ) prévus en août à Singapour.
Singapore, Mar 24 (AFP): International Olympic Committee president Jacques Rogge today vowed a tough line on anyone taking drugs or lying about their age at this year's Youth Olympic Games.
